Following the revelation of a purportedly educated terror module linked to the Delhi blast, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has sharply criticized a video of accused Dr. Umar Nabi. In the footage, Nabi is heard discussing suicide bombings in terms of ‘martyrdom,’ a narrative Owaisi forcefully rejected as ‘terrorism and nothing else.’

Owaisi reiterated that Islam strictly forbids suicide and the killing of innocents, labeling such actions as grave sins and undeniable acts of terrorism. He dismissed any attempt to provide a religious rationale for these heinous crimes, emphasizing their purely criminal and extremist nature.

The AIMIM president further probed security agencies, questioning how a terror module composed of educated individuals, including doctors, could evade detection. He cited Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s previous assurance to Parliament about the absence of local youth joining terror groups, highlighting a potential intelligence gap. ‘Who is accountable for the failure to detect this group?’ Owaisi demanded.

The car blast near the Red Fort Metro station on November 10, which claimed numerous lives, has exposed a disturbing evolution in extremist activities. Experts are pointing to the suspect’s calm demeanor and articulate explanation in the video as indicators of a more strategic and dangerously sophisticated brand of terrorism emerging in the region.
