    Raipur, November 19, 2025/Paddy procurement is continuing successfully at the procurement centers in Balod district under the state government’s special priority support price paddy procurement scheme. Farmers of the district are reaching the procurement centers in the morning as per the tokens issued to them and completing the process of selling their paddy before making their sales. Even on the third day of paddy procurement, today, November 18, the hustle and bustle of farmers had started at the district’s paddy procurement centers since morning. Under this, more than 411 quintals of paddy were procured at Kochera in Dondhilohara development block of the district on the third day today. This includes 272.80 quintals of fine and 138.4 quintals of coarse paddy. At Kochera procurement center today, farmer Shri Chovararam from Dhupechra village sold 18 quintals of coarse paddy, farmer Shri Daulatram from Kochera village sold 254 quintals of fine paddy, Shri Dilip Kumar sold 110 quintals of fine paddy, Jam Bai sold 58 quintals of fine paddy, Murali Ram sold 125 quintals of fine paddy, Tanuram sold 135 quintals of fine paddy, and Nrottam Kumar sold 30 quintals of coarse paddy, and Kumeshwar Kumar sold 100 quintals of fine paddy. Similarly, more than 360 quintals of paddy were procured at the Koba procurement center. This includes 316 quintals of coarse and 44 quintals of fine paddy.

    To ensure the successful completion of the paddy procurement work, nodal officers have been reaching their respective assigned procurement centers since this morning and continuously monitoring the procurement process. It is noteworthy that as per the instructions of Collector Smt. Divya Umesh Mishra, foolproof arrangements have been ensured for the successful completion of paddy procurement work in the district. In this regard, for the convenience of farmers reaching the procurement centers to sell their paddy, arrangements for pure drinking water, shade, seating, and toilets have been ensured. As per Collector Smt. Mishra’s instructions, top officials of the district administration, along with all revenue sub-divisional officers, tehsildars, naib tehsildars, and officials from the food, cooperation, and related departments, are reaching the procurement centers and continuously monitoring the paddy procurement work.
