    Raipur, November 18, 2025 / Paddy procurement from farmers at support price is continuing uninterrupted in all districts of the state. Although it has only been four days since the paddy procurement started, the arrival of paddy at the procurement centers in the state has started picking up pace. An average of two to two and a half lakh quintals of paddy are being procured daily in the state at support price. Despite the strike by cooperative society employees, paddy procurement across the state remains unaffected. Paddy is being procured without any obstruction from farmers bringing paddy to all societies and procurement centers. Yesterday, on November 17, 2,43,831 quintals of paddy were procured from farmers in the state at support price, including 1,05,342 quintals of coarse grain, 71,603 quintals of fine grain, and 66,886 quintals of sarna paddy.

    In line with the intentions of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, transparent token system, electronic weighing machines, moisture meters, gunny bags, and other facilities have been ensured for the convenience of farmers at all 2739 paddy procurement centers in the state, so that farmers do not face any kind of difficulty. The Chhattisgarh government has also ensured the system of payment to farmers parallel to paddy procurement. This year, the Chhattisgarh government has provided a bank guarantee of Rs 26,200 crore to the Chhattisgarh State Marketing Federation for paddy procurement, so that farmers do not face any difficulty in receiving payment at support price.

    According to information received from the Food Department, paddy procurement has started in all 33 districts of the state. Based on the report, farmers sold their paddy at 725 procurement centers on November 17. Bemetara district recorded the highest procurement of 39,015 quintals of paddy, while Rajnandgaon district stood second with 35,162 quintals and Raipur district stood third with 28,272 quintals of paddy procurement respectively. According to the report received from the Food Department, on November 17, 95.2 quintals of paddy were procured in Bastar district, 137.2 quintals in Bijapur, 1.6 quintals in Dantewada, 80 quintals in Kanker, 1147.6 quintals in Kondagaon, 7.2 quintals in Narayanpur, 24.4 quintals in Sukma, 1573.6 quintals in Bilaspur, 2550 quintals in Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 67.6 quintals in Janjgir Champa, 97.2 quintals in Korba, 2224 quintals in Mungeli, 1413.2 quintals in Raigarh, 48 quintals in Sakti, 917.6 quintals in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 19656 quintals in Balod, 39015.2 quintals in Bemetara, 27699.2 quintals in Durg, 3682.4 quintals in Kawardha, 35162.4 quintals in Rajnandgaon, 14322.8 quintals in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 834.8 quintals in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh-Chowki, 19419.6 quintals in Balodabazar, 25227.2 quintals in Dhamtari, 9106.4 quintals in Gariyaband, 1073.6 quintals in Mahasamund, 28272.4 quintals in Raipur, 612.4 quintals in Balrampur, 224 quintals in Jashpur, 1193.6 quintals in Koriya, 276.8 quintals in Surguja, 1456.4 quintals in Surajpur, and 212 quintals in Manendragarh-Chirimiri-Bharatpur were procured at support price. According to information received from the districts, farmers are happy with the foolproof arrangements for paddy procurement at the procurement centers. They are neither having to wait to sell their paddy at the procurement centers nor are they facing any difficulties in weighing the paddy.
