Pahari Mandir Restoration: Repair Work Begins Following Community Concerns

The Pahari Mandir, a significant religious site in Ranchi, is undergoing renovation, spurred by reports of its poor condition in ‘Prabhat Khabar’. The district administration and the Pahari Mandir Vikas Samiti have responded by commencing repair work on Monday. The restoration includes addressing issues such as sealing rat burrows and re-flooring the sanctum sanctorum. A significant element of the project is the voluntary participation of Pahan women from the Bedo area, who are providing valuable labor. A team led by District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Director Sudarshan Murmu, along with other officials, inspected the renovation efforts to ensure quality and assess the damage. The report in ‘Prabhat Khabar’ triggered the immediate response from authorities. To allow for the necessary repairs, the main temple was closed for two days, and devotees were restricted to praying near the entrance. SDO Utkarsh Kumar confirmed that the administration is dedicated to securing and protecting the temple and is seeking the advice of technical experts. Pahan women are actively involved in the restoration and have expressed their lifelong commitment to the service of Lord Shiva.
