What began as a sacred journey to Pakistan for the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji has escalated into a perplexing international mystery, involving the disappearance of an Indian Sikh woman. Sarabjit Kaur, who crossed into Pakistan with a contingent of 1,932 pilgrims, failed to return home and has vanished without a trace since November 13th. This incident has triggered urgent investigations by both Indian and Pakistani agencies.

Disturbing claims have surfaced from Pakistan via a widely circulated letter, alleging that Sarabjit Kaur has converted to Islam and married a Pakistani national named Nasir Hussain. The letter asserts that she now goes by the name Noor Hussain and claims a marriage certificate has been issued by a mosque in Sheikhupura, purportedly with her consent. However, Indian intelligence officials are treating these allegations with extreme caution and are exploring various possibilities.

A significant piece of the puzzle is Sarabjit Kaur’s immigration form, on which she notably omitted her nationality and passport number. This detail is now being scrutinized as a potential indicator of a planned disappearance or an attempt to avoid official tracking.

Compounding the intrigue, speculation is rife that Sarabjit Kaur might be attempting to reach England, where her husband is said to have resided for the past 20 years. Investigators are actively examining the possibility that she leveraged the pilgrimage to facilitate an illegal entry into the UK via Pakistan using clandestine ‘dunkey’ routes.

The investigation has also unearthed details about Sarabjit Kaur’s past, including three criminal cases from which she was acquitted, and legal issues involving her sons. These revelations are prompting inquiries into whether she had established connections in Pakistan that could have aided her disappearance, hinting at a potentially pre-arranged event.

Official statements emphasize that claims of conversion and marriage are currently unconfirmed, and the investigation is actively pursuing all leads. The true circumstances surrounding Sarabjit Kaur’s disappearance remain unclear, leaving open questions about coercion, voluntary actions, and the possibility of intricate schemes.
