Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, declared Pakistan’s readiness to engage in discussions with India regarding all unresolved issues, including the Kashmir dispute, while emphasizing the importance of a dignified and respectful approach. He made it clear that Pakistan is not requesting talks but is prepared to engage constructively.

India has emphasized its focus on discussing the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and the issue of terrorism. The previous dialogue, which began in 2003, was a multifaceted initiative aimed at resolving contentious issues between the two nations. The talks stalled after the 2008 Mumbai attacks and were not fully restored.
