The UAE T20I tri-series has seen a downturn in form for Pakistan’s key players. The team’s batsmen have collectively failed to amass 100 runs across three matches, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, the star fast bowler, is struggling to take wickets. The performance of these Pakistani players is notably behind those of Afghanistan and UAE. Despite Pakistan’s leading position in the series, their key batsmen and bowlers have not performed up to expectations, while players from Afghanistan and the UAE are demonstrating impressive form.

Pakistan’s batting has been struggling in the UAE T20I tri-series. No batsman has yet reached the 100-run mark. Sam Ayub has been the highest run-scorer for Pakistan in the series, accumulating 83 runs in three matches, which included one half-century.

Captain Salman Agha is in second place, having scored 78 runs in three matches with a fifty. Hasan Nawaz has managed 74 runs across three matches. Mohammad Nawaz has scored 58 runs, and star batsman Fakhar Zaman only 51 runs. In contrast, Afghanistan and UAE batsmen have been performing well in this series.

Afghanistan and UAE batsmen have been shining in this series. Afghanistan’s opening batsman, Sediqullah Atal, has scored 141 runs in three matches, including two half-centuries. Ibrahim Zadran, also from Afghanistan, has scored 137 runs in three matches, with two fifties.

UAE captain Muhammad Waseem has scored 78 runs in two matches, including a half-century. The underperformance extends beyond Pakistan’s batting; their star bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, has also been below par.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has not performed up to standard. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s star fast bowler, did not take any wickets in the fourth match against Afghanistan, conceding 27 runs in 4 overs. Afridi has played two matches in the series, taking only two wickets. Afghanistan’s captain Rashid Khan leads in wicket-taking, having taken six wickets for just 77 runs in three matches.

UAE’s fast bowler Sagir Khan is second with 5 wickets in 2 matches. Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is third with 4 wickets in 3 matches. Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz is fifth, having taken 4 wickets in 3 matches.
