The Monsoon Session of Parliament has ended, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his dissatisfaction with the low productivity. He reportedly took aim at the Congress leadership, accusing them of limiting opportunities for younger MPs due to ‘insecurity.’ The Prime Minister made these remarks at a meeting in the Lok Sabha Speaker’s office. The session, which began on July 21st, saw the passage of 15 bills. However, the proceedings were frequently disrupted by opposition members protesting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, leading to a lack of debate on several bills. The Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha adjourned sine die before the planned end date. The session, which consisted of 21 sittings spread over 32 days, included discussions on Operation Sindoor and the mission of astronaut Subhanshu Shulka, which were hampered by the opposition’s demands.
