A significant meeting organized by the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education took place in Patna on Thursday, July 31st. The central theme was the effective integration of newly admitted students into government engineering colleges and polytechnic institutions across Bihar, and their familiarization with the institutional systems.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Pratima, Secretary of the department, involved department officials and other involved parties. A key concern was ensuring that new students have seamless access to essential facilities like hostels, mess halls, libraries, and laboratories. The goal was to ensure they have all the necessary support.

The Secretary directed the officials to thoroughly inform students about all aspects of their institutions, ensuring they have all the necessary information to avoid difficulties. New students are also to be provided with details about digital portals designed to offer support and facilitate complaints, so the institutions can efficiently address any issues and solve student problems.

Additionally, Dr. Pratima instructed all assistant directors to take stringent measures against ragging, to protect the new students. A review of CCTV cameras in each institution and hostel was also ordered, ensuring all cameras were operational to monitor potential ragging incidents.
