Team India’s extensive tour of Australia begins on October 19 with the first ODI to be played in Perth. The squad is set to depart on October 15, with players travelling in two groups. Key players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, alongside Shreyas Iyer, will join the team in New Delhi before their flight. This series marks an important comeback for Sharma and Kohli, as it’s their first international assignment since the ICC Champions Trophy final in March 2025, and follows their recent decisions to retire from Test cricket. The ODI squad includes a mix of established stars and emerging talents, with Shubman Gill taking on the captaincy for the series.
