A shocking incident from Bihar showcases an unfortunate case of a pet dog attacking its owner. The incident occurred in Gopalganj where a man was injured when his pet dog bit off his ear. The owner, identified as Sandeep Kumar, had intervened in a fight between his dog and another dog. During the altercation, Kumar scooped up his dog, attempting to comfort it. However, the dog unexpectedly turned on him, biting off a portion of his ear.
Following the attack, Kumar was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Doctors at the hospital provided immediate medical attention. Medical Officer Dr. Danish Ahmed confirmed the incident, stating that the dog’s owner had explained that his dog had been involved in a fight with another dog and was then attacked while being comforted. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential for unpredictable behavior, even in domesticated animals.
