Pickup Truck Involved in Fatal Collision in Bilaspur, One Dead

A fatal road accident occurred on Wednesday morning near the Ghutku underbridge in the Koni police station area of Bilaspur. A young man riding a motorcycle was killed when his vehicle collided with a speeding pickup truck. The deceased, 25-year-old Om Prakash Kewat of Chorbhatti Khurd, was en route to Nauroti Kapa to operate a tractor. Around 6:45 AM, while riding his Splendor motorcycle (CG10BT0644), the accident took place. The pickup truck hit him, causing critical head injuries, which proved fatal at the scene. The tractor owner, Shiv Kumar Yadav, informed the family. Police arrived, documented the scene, and sent the body for a post-mortem. An FIR has been filed against the unidentified driver of the pickup truck under section 106(1)-BNS, and an investigation has been launched.
