In a tribute brimming with nostalgia and resolve, PM Narendra Modi commemorated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s jayanti via evocative X updates. Detailing lifelong inspiration from Bose, Modi spotlighted initiatives resurrecting the leader’s suppressed legacy from official obscurity.

Central to his reflections was the 2009 E-Gram VishwaGram rollout in Haripura, Netaji’s historic turf, which digitized rural Gujarat profoundly. ‘Haripura’s fervor and procession on Bose’s footsteps are unforgettable,’ he posted, linking it to Netaji’s motivational force.

He evoked the 2012 Ahmedabad mega-event for Azad Hind Fauj, graced by figures like P.A. Sangma, all Netaji devotees. Indirectly rebuking Congress-era neglect, Modi affirmed his government’s corrective measures: publicizing secret files and infusing Netaji’s ethos everywhere.

Twin 2018 triumphs included Red Fort’s 75th Azad Hind anniversary with flag-hoisting and INA veteran Lalti Ram’s tales. Andamans saw tricolor rise at Sri Vijaya Puram for Netaji’s 1944 feat, renaming Ross to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island among others.

Kranti Mandir at Red Fort treasures Netaji’s attire and INA artifacts, deepening public awareness. 2021’s Kolkata sojourn to Netaji Bhawan—Parakram Diwas site—and the India Gate statue epitomize anti-colonial strides, promising eternal inspiration to India’s coming generations.
