Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened 2026 with a resounding message in the 130th ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ urging a quality revolution in India’s industry. Diving into Startup India’s decade-long saga, he celebrated its rise to the world’s third-biggest ecosystem, powered by bold youth venturing into AI, semiconductors, green energy, and more.

‘The youth are the true architects of this success,’ Modi said, invoking 2016 memories shared across social media. Every sector pulses with Indian innovation, he observed, before pivoting to a critical imperative: ditch subpar standards.

The ‘ho jaayega’ mindset is history, Modi asserted. As India’s growth captivates the globe, textiles, electronics, tech, and packaging must embody world-class quality. He implored startups and industries to make excellence their DNA.

Modi wove in heartwarming examples of community-driven change. Azamgarh residents resurrected the Tamsa River, cleansing pollution and planting shade trees to revive its historic flow. Anantapur’s water warriors, through the Anant Neeru initiative, desilted reservoirs and afforested the area, securing water and enhancing ecology.

‘Our collective resolve propels India forward,’ Modi concluded, embodying the nation’s journey from startups to societal transformations.
