    Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in bilateral discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin, China, on his first visit in seven years, participating in the SCO meeting. PM Modi provided an update on the current state of China-India relations during the meeting.

    During the meeting, PM Modi highlighted that the talks in Kazan last year were fruitful. He then mentioned the peace and stability on the border after the disengagement. The discussions led to agreements concerning border management, the resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, and the re-establishment of direct flights. Modi emphasized the importance of cooperation for the benefit of the 2.8 billion people of both countries and global well-being. He reaffirmed the commitment to promote relations based on trust, respect, and sensitivity.
