    On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a phone call from US President Donald Trump, who conveyed birthday greetings. The Prime Minister is celebrating his 75th birthday on September 17. Modi responded on X, thanking Trump and expressing commitment to furthering the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership, while also supporting efforts for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict. President Trump posted on Truth Social, also sending birthday wishes and acknowledging Modi’s support in ending the war. The greetings occurred on the same day that US Trade Representative Brendan Lynch was in New Delhi to discuss the trajectory of bilateral trade negotiations. Lynch and Rajesh Agrawal, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, had a constructive meeting, agreeing to expedite efforts to finalize a mutually beneficial Trade Agreement.
