On the auspicious statehood days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to key figures in Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura via congratulatory letters, now viral on social platforms. His words painted vivid pictures of these states’ unparalleled beauty, culture, and bravery.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma’s letter from Modi glowed with praise for the state’s lush landscapes and the vibrant legacies of Khasi, Garo, and Jaintia peoples. The PM celebrated their nature worship and gender equality drives as national role models.

Nostalgic about his 2016 North Eastern Council summit in Shillong, Modi also commemorated the late P.A. Sangma’s 10th death anniversary, crediting him for Meghalaya’s developmental leaps.

To Tripura’s Dr. Manik Saha, the message underscored a heritage of festivity and resilience. Modi recalled his 2025 temple visit during Navratri, where he blessed the Tripura Sundari shrine’s upgrades.

He spotlighted economic milestones—reforms sparking investments and youth jobs—heralding Tripura’s emergence as a prosperity powerhouse under astute governance.

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla’s letter revered the state’s crafts and sports dominance, projecting India’s youthful vigor globally.

Invoking Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s flag-raising legacy, Modi honored Manipur’s wartime heroes: ‘Their valorous deeds remain immortal in our hearts.’

These letters symbolize unity and momentum, propelling the Northeast toward a brighter, integrated tomorrow.
