Tension gripped Jamshedpur’s Bistupur area late Thursday when a police team faced armed resistance from three prime suspects in the recent kidnapping saga involving a business magnate’s heir. The midnight melee near Sai Temple resulted in gunshot wounds to the legs of Guddu Singh, Mohammad Imran, and Ramiz Raja, now under treatment at MGM Hospital.

Escorting the Bihar natives—originally from Gaya and Nalanda—to reclaim hidden weapons, officers were ambushed. The criminals grabbed for a constable’s carbine, sparking a shootout that SHO Alok Dubey miraculously survived unscathed. Retaliatory fire from police brought the skirmish to a swift end.

City Superintendent of Police Kumar Shivasish emphasized the legitimacy of the response, highlighting recovered arms as crucial evidence. Fleeing since Kairav Gandhi’s abduction, which police resolved after 13 days of pursuit, these fugitives represented the gang’s core.

This bold operation underscores Jamshedpur’s zero-tolerance stance on kidnapping rackets. With accomplices still at large, investigations press on, promising revelations from the wounded men’s statements. The incident bolsters community faith in law enforcement’s unyielding pursuit of safety.
