The TV9 Digital meeting in Purnia, Bihar, served as a platform to address the issue of reservation for the Pan-Tanti community and to analyze the political affiliations of the Indian Inclusive Party (IIP). Representatives from various Bihar political parties expressed a consensus on the importance of granting reservation to the Pan-Tanti community.

The IIP leader asserted that their party would ally with whichever coalition promises or implements reservation for the Pan-Tanti community. Khushboo, an IIP representative, highlighted the community’s past reservation benefits, which were subsequently rescinded. She cited the 2015 reservation under Nitish Kumar, overturned by the Supreme Court despite review petitions.

She emphasized that the IIP would support any party providing reservation, particularly if the NDA could secure it via parliamentary processes. She demanded a written commitment and speedy legislative action before committing to an alliance. She emphasized their openness to both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan, prioritizing the restoration of the community’s reservation.

Professor Alok, an RJD leader, emphasized the party’s commitment to all communities, advocating for the Pan community’s rightful inclusion. He criticized the NDA’s past actions and affirmed the importance of the Pan community’s SC status. He questioned the Supreme Court’s decision and accused the NDA of duplicity.

LJP’s Nishant Mishra highlighted the Pan-Tanti community’s historical ties with the NDA, stressing the need for government attention to the reservation issue. He mentioned Nitish Kumar’s review petition and the government’s commitment. He added that the NDA is very positive towards the Pan community. Mishra criticized the opposition for what he described as attempts to mislead the Pan community. He targeted AIMIM and discussed Chirag Paswan’s prospects.

AIMIM’s Adil Hasan declared his party’s support for those opposing and capable of defeating the BJP. He criticized the current government’s treatment of Seemanchal, particularly regarding healthcare and special status, questioning the absence of hospitals. He highlighted the lack of representation for Muslims in the state government and their demand for greater participation.
