The political climate in Kathmandu, Nepal, is highly unstable after KP Sharma Oli’s departure. The nomination of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as interim prime minister has caused a rift within Generation-Z. Protests have erupted, leading to a military response, with the army pointing guns at the demonstrators near the army headquarters.

Snipers have been positioned along all access routes to the Army Headquarters. The army’s actions are aimed at preventing any disorder. Moreover, the army chief has invited Karki for consultations regarding the government’s formation. Karki and the army chief are scheduled to meet with President Ramchandra Paudel after their discussions.
