Asaduddin Owaisi figures on voters lists in 2 constituencies: Congress

On Friday, January 6, Telangana Congress senior vice chairman G Niranjan alleged that Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi is registered as a voter in two separate meeting constituencies within the record of voters revealed on Thursday by the Telangana Chief Electoral Office.

The Congress chief mentioned, “It was brought to the notice of the district election officer (DEO), Hyderabad, in a meeting on Dec 19, but corrective action hasn’t been taken. Election authorities should rectify this immediately.”

In a letter written to the Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar, G Niranjan mentioned that within the definitive record of Telangana voters ‘Special Summary Revision’ launched by the Election Commission on January 5, the title of AIMIM Supremo is listed in two meeting constituencies and this can be a violation of the foundations of the Election Commission.

While referring to the main points of the voters’ record, Niranjan acknowledged that Asaduddin Owaisi’s title seems beneath serial quantity 906 within the Rajendranagar meeting seat and serial quantity 412 within the Khairtabad meeting constituency.
