Manipur state of affairs: Lok Sabha adjourned until 12 midday following protests by opposition MPs

 Lok Sabha was adjourned until 12 midday on Friday following protests by opposition MPs over their demand for a dialogue on the state of affairs in Manipur by suspending different enterprise of the day.

Soon after the House met for the day, opposition MPs have been on their toes demanding dialogue on the state of affairs in Manipur. They additionally raised slogans. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla took up the Question Hour and urged members to take their seats.
“Will a solution to problems be found through sloganeering. The solution can be found through talks and discussion. This way is not correct,” he mentioned.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh mentioned that dialogue ought to happen on the state of affairs in Manipur and added opposition was displaying seriousness to debate the difficulty.

As the din continued, Speaker adjourned the House until 12 midday.

Opposition MPs have been demanding an announcement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament on the state of affairs in Manipur adopted by a full-day dialogue.

They have given adjournment movement notices for dialogue on Manipur. The monsoon session of Parliament started on Thursday.
