TMC candidate Koushani Banerjee invokes ‘mom, sister’ to scare folks

In a video that has now gone viral on social media, actress turned Trinamool Congress candidate Koushani Banerjee was seen intimidating folks into voting for her celebration within the ongoing Vidhan Sabha polls. She is contesting from the Krishnanagar (Uttar) constituency.
While addressing the gang at an election rally, she pulled up a person and requested, “Are you from the BJP? Come here.” At the identical time, the ‘over-enthusiastic’ Trinamool Congress supporters had been heard elevating slogans of ‘Joy Bangla.’ Koushani Banerjee then cautioned, “Ghore sobar kintu maa bon aaacha. Vote ta bhebe dibi (Everyone has mothers and sisters at their home. Remember this when you cast your vote).”
By invoking the reference of moms and sisters, she tried to instil worry within the minds of the those who voting for the BJP will supposedly result in atrocities in opposition to girls of their households. While it has not been explicitly said, her assertion can conversely indicate that not voting for the TMC can invite the wrath of the celebration on the ladies within the society.

Mamata Banerjee fear-mongers amidst ongoing polls
This isn’t the primary time {that a} Trinamool Congress candidate has resorted to fear-mongering and intimidatory techniques in the course of the marketing campaign path. While addressing an election rally in Falakata within the Alipurduar district on Friday, Mamata Banerjee stated, “The central security personnel, who have come from outside, will try to intimidate you.
