Glance of New Criminal Laws Seen in Home Department’s Exhibition

Reforms made in the country’s justice system towards making it modern, transparent, and people-centric under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi have been specially displayed in the exhibition of the Home (Police) Department. The objective of these new criminal laws is to prioritize scientific methods, digital evidence, and forensic cooperation in the investigation and disposal of crimes, thereby making the justice system faster, more effective, and transparent.

The Home Department’s exhibition showcases the role of the five main pillars of the justice system – Police, Jail, Prosecution, Forensic Experts, and Judicial Officers – including the Police Department, Dial 112, Scene of Crime Unit, Civil Hospital, Forensic Science Laboratory, Prosecution, District Court, Jail, and High Court.

The Home Department’s exhibition provided information that through technology, research, and coordination, speed and accuracy are now being brought into crime investigation and judicial processes. The online tracking system for prosecution and judicial proceedings is also proving helpful in making the justice process more transparent.

Interactive Learning – Understanding Law Through Play

Interesting interactive programs like quizzes and understanding law through play have been organized for citizens and students visiting the exhibition. Through these activities, the provisions of the new criminal laws are being explained in a simple and interesting manner. This initiative is not only a means to increase public awareness but is also developing a sense of respect, trust, and participation in law among citizens. It is noteworthy that the implementation of new criminal laws will make the process of punishing offenders faster, more accurate, and scientific. This will further strengthen the sense of trust and security in the minds of the common people towards law and order. This exhibition presents a live example of judicial empowerment, good governance, and citizen awareness.

    Appeal for Public Participation

The state government has appealed to common citizens, college and school students to participate in large numbers in this exhibition organized at the Rajyotsav venue, connect with the new criminal laws and government public services, and become participants in the spirit of “New India – New Chapter of Justice”.
