    Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister reviewed development works in Naxal affected districts

    Emphasis on effective implementation of development schemes: Instructions to ensure the reach of schemes to every village

    Raipur, September 12, 2025/ Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, today reviewed the development works in the Naxal affected districts of the state at the Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan. In the meeting, beneficiary oriented programs and schemes were reviewed in Bastar, Sukma, South Bastar, Dantewada, North Bastar Kanker, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Bijapur, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Gariaband districts.

    Principal Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh reviewed in detail the beneficiary oriented programs like MNREGA, Ayushman Card, Ration Card, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Account, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Aadhaar Card etc. in the Naxal affected districts.

    It was informed in the meeting that Aadhaar registration of more than 99 percent people has been completed in the LWE affected districts. Similarly, registration of about 28 lakh 18 thousand 616 farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is being done and they are being given the benefit of the scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, bank accounts of 26 lakh 21 thousand 491 beneficiaries have been opened. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 35 lakh 66 thousand 409 beneficiaries have been provided with the facility of treatment for serious diseases. Mobile towers are being set up to increase mobile connectivity in rural areas. Branches of various banks and post offices are being opened to provide more and more banking facilities to the people in the area. Ration cards have been made to provide food grains regularly to all eligible beneficiaries under the public distribution system.

    In the meeting, Principal Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh directed that job cards should be provided to all eligible MNREGA beneficiaries of the area to provide them employment. The construction work of all the houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be completed soon and Pradhan Mantri Awas should be provided to all surrendered Naxals.

    He directed that the remaining beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana should be surveyed soon and they should be benefited. The surrendered Naxals should be given training in special trades according to the regional needs under the Skill Development Scheme. Buildings of building-less schools at primary and secondary level should be constructed soon and it should be ensured that primary and secondary schools are in the same campus.

Bharatidasan, Secretary, Labor Department, Mr. Himshikhar Gupta, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Ravi Mittal, Commissioner, Bastar Division and Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range along with Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Bastar, Sukma, South Bastar, Dantewada, North Bastar Kanker, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Bijapur, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Gariaband districts were present in the video conference.
