Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw has officially requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to play domestic cricket for another team. The young player aims to pursue a professional career with a different state association.

In the letter to the MCA, Shaw stated that he believes playing with another state will help in his growth and development. Abhay Hadap, the secretary of the MCA, confirmed receipt of the NOC request. Shaw has not played for Mumbai since December 24.

Shaw acknowledged the MCA’s role in his career. For India, Prithvi Shaw has played 5 Tests and scored 339 runs which includes one century and two half-centuries. He has also played 6 ODIs and one T20I.
