In a move brimming with promise, Cricket South Africa has revealed its women’s teams for the Pakistan white-ball tour, headlined by Kayla Reyneke’s eagerly awaited T20 debut. The 20-year-old, who steered the Under-19s to the 2025 T20 World Cup final, transitions to senior colors representing Western Province.
Captain Laura Wolvaardt leads a formidable T20 outfit packed with experience from Marizanne Kapp, Chloe Tryon, Nadine de Klerk, Dane van Niekerk, Sune Luus, and Ayabonga Khaka. Strategic returns bolster the lineup: keepers Sinalo Jafta and Karabo Meso, spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba, all-rounder Annerie Dercksen, alongside Tazmin Brits and Ayanda Hlubi.
Preparations ramp up with a February 5 camp in Potchefstroom, leading into T20 matches from February 10-16. These games are gold for World Cup 2026 prep in England. The subsequent ODIs (February 22-March 1) mark the start of ICC Women’s Championship, crucial for 2029 qualification.
