Punjab CM Mann Calls for Action on Pending Funds, Rice Movement, and Farmer Support

Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has requested the Union Food Minister to address several critical issues concerning the state’s agricultural sector. He specifically sought the release of over ₹9,000 crore in pending RDF and Market Fees. Mann highlighted the importance of these funds for rural development projects. He also discussed the challenges around rice storage and urged for measures to expedite the movement of rice. Additionally, he addressed concerns related to the Aarthia Commission and requested the Union government to adjust procurement dates to benefit farmers.
