A former top security official from Kazakhstan, Major General Alnur Musayev, has made the stunning claim that Vladimir Putin has a collection of videos and documents that could be used to damage Donald Trump. The former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee (KNB) made the allegations prior to an expected meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska.

Musayev’s past includes a role as an officer in the KGB during the Soviet period. After the Soviet Union dissolved, Musayev became the chairman of Kazakhstan’s KNB. In February 2025, Musayev also claimed that Donald Trump was recruited as a KGB agent in 1987.

According to Musayev, the purported documents contain evidence of sexual crimes against minors, as well as financial transactions connected to Russia, Kazakhstan, and other former Soviet countries. This includes material relating to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, and videos depicting sexual violence. The FSB is said to have possession of these documents, which could be used to compel Trump to act in Russia’s favor. The Kremlin may also pressure Trump to undermine NATO and the European Union.

Musayev also alleges that Kazakh businessmen provided girls to Jeffrey Epstein’s private island and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Tofik Arifov was the main individual involved. He was subject to a criminal investigation in the 1990s, but the case was dropped after the FSB intervened. Three other wealthy Kazakh citizens were also implicated, allegedly at Russia’s behest.

In 2013, Trump hosted the Miss Universe competition in Moscow, funded by Aras Agalarov and held at the Crocus City Complex, which Trump considered an important location in Russia.

Trump and Putin are scheduled to meet in Alaska on August 15. Their last meeting was at the G-20 summit in Japan in 2019. The upcoming meeting in Anchorage will address the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Prior to this meeting, Trump had mediated three separate discussions between Russia and Ukraine, but they were unsuccessful.
