As Bihar gears up for elections, Rahul Gandhi, a key figure in the Congress party, has initiated a ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra,’ focusing on alleged vote manipulation. He is joined by leaders from the INDIA alliance, including Tejashwi Yadav and Dipankar Bhattacharya, as they critique the ruling parties.

Gandhi referenced a statement on social media by Nitish Kumar. Kumar questioned whether a government that comes to power through vote theft can genuinely work for the people. Gandhi supported this stance, arguing that such a government is disconnected from the needs of the population because it does not rely on their votes.

Gandhi pointed out the state of affairs, mentioning the alarming levels of unemployment that threaten the future of the youth, with accusations that the government favors capitalists.

He criticized the government’s response to examination scams, like those impacting the NEET and SSC exams. He also addressed the rising inflation and its negative impacts on the lives of the common people.

Furthermore, he mentioned issues like infrastructure failures, such as train accidents and damaged roads, and the lack of accountability. He criticized the government’s response to violence and terror incidents.

He connected these incidents to events such as demonetization, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the farmers’ protests, and the government’s lack of empathy. He suggested the government’s failures stem from its alleged reliance on stolen votes rather than the will of the people.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government is not concerned about the well-being of the citizens. He said that the government believes it will return to power regardless of the outcome of the elections.

He stressed the importance of a clean voter list for free and fair elections, asking citizens to protect their right to vote. He called for electing a government that truly represents and is accountable to the people. He called on citizens to protect the nation and uphold the constitution through their votes.
