    The monsoon season is expected to continue this month, according to the weather department, which has forecast heavy rainfall across the country. From mountainous regions to the plains, significant precipitation is anticipated. Several states could see a return of the monsoon. Rain alerts have been issued for numerous states today. However, Delhi has not experienced rainfall for the past ten days.

    The weather department does not anticipate any rain in Delhi until September 21. Today, the capital will have partly cloudy skies, with a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius. These partly cloudy conditions will persist in Delhi through September 21.

    The weather in Uttar Pradesh has shifted. The weather department predicts heavy rainfall in the state in the coming days. Today, western UP will see rain in some locations, and eastern UP is expected to experience showers and thunderstorms in many areas. Heavy rainfall is also a possibility in both regions. The department has also warned of potential thunderstorms and lightning.

    States Under Orange Alert

    Bihar is under an orange alert for the next 72 hours, with heavy rainfall expected. The weather department has issued an alert, warning of heavy rain in at least nine districts. Thunderstorms and lightning are also anticipated. Jharkhand is under an orange alert. Heavy rain is expected today in Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai is under an orange alert. Goa is expecting heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall is predicted in Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Bengal over the next two days.

    Weather in the Mountains and Northeast India

    Uttarakhand is expected to have heavy rainfall today. A yellow alert has been issued for several districts, including Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun, Chamoli, Nainital, and Bageshwar. Himachal Pradesh has a heavy rain alert in effect for several areas today. In Northeast India, Arunachal Pradesh is likely to experience heavy rain today and tomorrow. Light to moderate rain is expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, and Mizoram from today until September 21. Heavy rainfall is possible in Assam-Meghalaya. Sikkim may experience rain until the 18th.
