    Several states are currently experiencing heavy rainfall, with overcast skies dominating the weather. Over the past day, regions including Konkan, coastal and interior Karnataka, parts of West Bengal, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, and Assam have recorded substantial rainfall, ranging from 70 to 200 mm. The meteorological department has issued a forecast for ongoing rain in numerous states today.

    Delhi, the national capital, received rainfall late last night, resulting in cooler temperatures and relief from the humidity. The weather department forecasts thunderstorms for Delhi today, July 26, with the rainy period expected to continue until July 31.

    A low-pressure area has developed in the Bay of Bengal, and is moving rapidly through Jharkhand and northern Chhattisgarh towards the northwest of the country. As a result, the weather department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha. Rainfall is expected in areas of Maharashtra today, including Chhattisgarh, Konkan, and Vidarbha.

    Alerts have been issued for heavy rain in western Madhya Pradesh today and tomorrow, with eastern Rajasthan also expected to experience heavy rainfall tomorrow. The possibility of rain exists in Punjab and Haryana. The weather department expects light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, and Rajasthan over the next 24 hours.

    Heavy rainfall is also anticipated in Goa, coastal Karnataka, Konkan, South Gujarat, Kerala, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Telangana, and various regions of Madhya Pradesh. Alerts have been issued for heavy rainfall in Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and central Maharashtra. The weather department predicts heavy rainfall in eastern India for the next four days, with heavy showers anticipated in Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Meghalaya today.
