As part of the celebrations for Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee year in 2025, a photo exhibition and quiz are currently captivating audiences at the Town Hall in Raipur. The event, spearheaded by the Public Relations Department, is attracting significant interest.

The exhibition showcases a collection of rare photographs that highlight the state’s cultural heritage, its role in the independence movement, and its developmental journey. Digital presentations, including slideshows, further enhance the visitor experience.

Attendees can also learn about various government initiatives and public welfare programs, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Krishi Unnati Yojana, and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Information about the state’s first Tribal Museum and other initiatives are prominently displayed.

The seven-day exhibition is open to the public at no cost, welcoming visitors from 10:30 AM to 8 PM until August 21st. The event, which honors the contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Independence Day and has attracted a large number of visitors.

A quiz competition focusing on the history and general knowledge of Chhattisgarh is a key attraction, particularly for children. Students from various schools and hostels in Raipur are actively participating and answering questions related to the state’s history and culture.

Silky Dhruv, a 12th-grade student, noted that the event provided her with a valuable opportunity to learn about the contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters and the state’s history. Lokesh Patre, an 8th-grade student, mentioned that participating in the quiz was a first-time experience, and he was excited to win a prize, which also helped him overcome his stage fright. Residential hostel superintendent Yogesh Dewangan underscored the importance of such events for educating younger generations about Chhattisgarh’s heritage and the sacrifices of its heroes, emphasizing the educational value of the exhibition and quiz.
