The architectural completion of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is being celebrated today with the Dhwajarohan, the significant flag hoisting ceremony. This ritual signifies the temple’s full spiritual consecration and the dawn of ‘Ram Rajya’. The vibrant saffron flag, representing the sovereignty and glory of Lord Ram, will be raised this afternoon within a sacred 44-minute timeframe. Ayodhya is adorned in grandeur, with festive lights and monumental figures of Lord Ram and Sita enhancing the divine ambiance. The temple’s spire was illuminated last night with a captivating laser show recounting divine narratives. According to ancient beliefs, a temple flag embodies the deity’s presence, bestows divine power, and acts as a protective emblem over the consecrated land. The Dhwajarohan ceremony thus marks the temple’s final stage of completion and spiritual activation. The date, November 25th, was carefully selected for its observance of Vivah Panchami, the anniversary of Lord Ram and Sita’s sacred union. The ceremony is scheduled for the Abhijeet Muhurat, a highly auspicious 44-minute window between 11:45 AM and 12:29 PM IST, renowned for its spiritual potency and historical connection to Lord Ram’s divine birth. The meticulously crafted saffron flag, measuring 22 feet by 11 feet, will be hoisted on a 42-foot pole positioned atop the main spire. Intricately hand-drawn symbols adorn the flag: Surya (Sun), symbolizing divine energy and the Suryavansh dynasty; Om (ॐ), representing the primal life force; and the Kovidar Vriksha, a sacred tree linked to Raghuvansh rulers, signifying prosperity and the ideals of Ram Rajya. Elevated security measures are in place for this momentous occasion, with the Prime Minister expected to participate in key rituals.
