In a crackdown on fraudulent activities, the CID raided multiple locations in the Namkum area of Ranchi on Saturday, revealing a scheme that defrauded job seekers. The raids targeted Pushpanjali Place and the Aryavart Associate office, both of which were suspected of involvement in the employment scam. Police detained 15 trainees from Pushpanjali Place, a computer operator, and another individual for interrogation at the Namkum police station. Seized items included laptops, printers, and Ayurvedic products. The operation was led by senior police officials. The ongoing investigation seeks to uncover the details of the fraudulent scheme. The scheme allegedly promised employment through skill-based programs in exchange for fees. After being promised jobs, trainees were purportedly made to market Ayurvedic products. Those who were unable to meet sales targets were allegedly terminated. A former trainee who did not receive employment after completing the training filed a complaint that prompted the raid. The scam is believed to have affected many people. The trainees were charged between 25,000 to 30,000 rupees each. They were also provided with accommodation and food. After the training was over, they were sent to market the Ayurvedic products.
