A deeply disturbing event occurred in Ranchi on Saturday night, with a mother and her two children found dead in their apartment, indicating an apparent suicide. The incident happened within the Nageshwar Enclave apartment complex, situated in the Choria Toli area near Latma Road, under the jurisdiction of the Jagannathpur police station. The police have taken possession of the deceased’s bodies and have sent them for a post-mortem examination. The individuals have been identified as Sanyukta Singh and her two young children. The children were a son, about 14 years of age, and a daughter, around 12 years old. Sanyukta Singh was estranged from her husband, Brijesh Singh. The couple had a history of conflict, with a legal case pending in court. Brijesh Singh was living in Bihar, while Sanyukta and her children resided in the Ranchi apartment. Local reports indicate that the couple faced both domestic disputes and financial challenges. It is believed that Sanyukta, overwhelmed by these circumstances, took this tragic step with her children. The situation came to light late Saturday when Brijesh Singh arrived at the apartment with items for the children and could not gain entry. He alerted the neighbors, who in turn contacted the police. The Jagannathpur police responded and, upon breaking into the apartment, found Sanyukta Singh and her children deceased in the bedroom. The scene was immediately secured, and the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team was summoned to investigate. The FSL team gathered evidence, and the bodies were sent for a post-mortem. The police are currently investigating the matter, with initial investigations suggesting the possibility of suicide due to domestic issues and financial hardship. The local community is in a state of shock and grief, with residents profoundly affected by the incident. Police are currently questioning Brijesh Singh and his relatives to ascertain the underlying causes of the suicide.
