Ranchi Mourns: Family of Three Found Dead in Apartment Suicide

A deeply upsetting incident has shaken Ranchi, Jharkhand, as a mother and her two children were discovered dead in their apartment in an apparent suicide. The tragic event occurred on Saturday night in the Nageshwar Enclave apartment complex located in the Choria Toli area of Latma Road, under the jurisdiction of the Jagannathpur police station. The police have taken possession of the bodies and have initiated an investigation, sending the deceased for post-mortem examination. The deceased individuals have been identified as Sanyukta Singh and her two minor children. Sanyukta Singh was estranged from her husband, Brijesh Singh. The couple had been experiencing prolonged disputes, with their case also pending in court. Brijesh Singh was residing in Bihar, whereas Sanyukta lived in the Ranchi apartment with her two children. Local sources reveal that besides marital discord, financial difficulties also plagued the couple. It is suspected that these circumstances led Sanyukta to take this tragic step, along with her two children. The discovery of the bodies happened when Brijesh Singh arrived at the apartment with supplies for his children and was unable to open the door. After repeated attempts to gain entry failed, he alerted neighbors and contacted the police. On arriving at the scene, the police broke the door down to find the horrific sight. The bodies of Sanyukta Singh and her children were found hanging in the bedroom. The police immediately sealed off the area and requested assistance from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to investigate. The FSL team gathered evidence, and the bodies were transported for post-mortem examination. The police have indicated that preliminary investigations indicate suicide as a result of domestic conflict and financial hardships. The incident has brought an atmosphere of sorrow and silence to the entire area. Local residents are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking event. The police are now questioning Brijesh Singh and his family to understand the complete circumstances leading to the suicides.
