A violent turf war in Ranchi’s Pandra area ended with five arrests on Monday, capping a midnight shootout Saturday between two real estate-linked gangs. SSP Rakesh Ranjan mobilized a dedicated SIT for citywide raids that netted the perpetrators.

Sanjay Pandey heads the list of detained, joined by Bablu, Ravi, Ajju Sah, and an unnamed partner. Interrogations are peeling back layers of their involvement, promising expanded crackdowns.

The clash near Manya Tower stemmed from supremacy battles in property transactions. Bystanders recounted a quarrel turning deadly as both sides unleashed volleys of bullets, transforming a routine evening into sheer pandemonium.

Injured parties include brothers Akash and Vikas Singh— the former shot in the hand, the latter in chest and arm—plus Ravi Yadav. Medical updates confirm their conditions as stable.

At the core lies a festering conflict over 55 lakhs in a land deal behind Transport Nagar on Ring Road. Meant as a settlement meet, it devolved into chaos. Forensics yielded roughly 12 casings, bolstering the case.

Pandra police, backed by DSP Kotwali and superiors, locked down the site immediately, rounded up suspects, and built an airtight case through evidence and tech. As gang activities infiltrate legitimate sectors like land business, Ranchi vows zero tolerance.
