Ranchi Under Attack: Woman Set on Fire in Home Assault

A horrifying incident unfolded in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a young woman was the victim of a violent attack inside her home. An individual entered the house and poured petrol on the woman before setting her ablaze. The incident caused widespread alarm. Initially, family members believed an acid attack had taken place. However, after the victim was taken to a private hospital, it was discovered that petrol had been used, resulting in burns, particularly to her eyes. The attack happened in Tender Gram, under the jurisdiction of the Kanke police station. The 21-year-old woman was resting at home when the assault took place. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has instructed Ranchi police to investigate the case and arrest the assailant immediately. The CM also ordered that the victim receive comprehensive medical care.
