Friday brought cheers to Bollywood buffs with the grand release of ‘Mardani 3′, starring Rani Mukerji in her signature role of Shivani Shivaji Roy. This empowering saga forces viewers to confront the harsh world of female cops battling crime, intimidation, and personal demons head-on.

At a Delhi Police women officers’ meet-up, Rani shared her insights with IANS. ‘It’s a great blessing to wear the police uniform for the third time—pure honor,’ she enthused. ‘Women officers endure grueling lives, complete with their struggles, tales, and daily trials. Their crime-solving prowess is truly exceptional.’

The actress uses her character to spotlight these heroines. ‘Via Shivani, I want to depict how Indian women in uniform perform their roles relentlessly for society’s protection,’ Rani stated.

Sparking debate, an officer asked if it’s disheartening that films must still teach about women and kids’ safety in 2026. Rani countered positively: ‘Rather than despair, let’s note the actions underway. Nirbhaya Squads, Damini Squads, and helplines are game-changers, guaranteeing aid to every needy girl or child.’

She broadened the lens: ‘Struggles define human existence globally, with women and child safety topping challenges everywhere. Holding onto these hopeful initiatives promises a better future. Change is slow but steady, fostering a secure society.’

‘Mardani 3’ emerges not just as cinema but a clarion call, honoring the valor of women in blue while inspiring systemic progress.
