Ranishwar block in Dumka is actively engaging in a social audit process for its centrally sponsored pension schemes. Under the leadership of Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Sinha, this initiative seeks to ensure that pension benefits reach the intended recipients. The audit, conducted by the district social audit team members Ramjeevan Aadi and Jeevan Nandi, is scheduled to run from December 20, 2025, to December 30, 2025. The Block Development Officer outlined the procedural requirements, emphasizing that Anganwadi workers must ensure all beneficiaries receive their slips within the given timeframe. They are also tasked with identifying and reporting any eligible or ineligible beneficiaries to the Panchayat Secretaries, who will then compile the necessary data. The social audit team provided clear instructions for beneficiaries, who are required to visit their local Panchayat Bhawans on the audit dates with their Aadhar card, voter ID, and mobile number for verification. For beneficiaries facing difficulties in attending, alternative verification methods such as video conferencing or home visits will be employed. The workshop highlighted a collaborative spirit, with significant participation from Mukhiyas, Gram Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, volunteers, Gram Rozgar Sevaks, and Anganwadi workers, all working towards a transparent and efficient pension system.
