The Election Commission of India (ECI) is confident that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar will be completed by the July 25 deadline. The ECI has reported that nearly 47% of the Enumeration Forms have been collected within two weeks of the initiative’s commencement on June 24. Data indicates that 3.70 crore forms were collected by July 8, representing substantial progress towards the goal of 7.90 crore electors. Over 97% of printed forms have been distributed, with a steady upload rate to ECINET. The ECI has deployed an additional 20,603 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), increasing the total to 77,895. In addition, nearly 4 lakh volunteers are assisting in the process. Political parties are also actively involved through the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
