The Indian film industry mourns the loss of Dharmendra, the beloved “He-Man,” who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. His remarkable career, spanning over six decades and encompassing more than 300 films, solidified his position as one of Hindi cinema’s most charismatic and influential actors. Beyond his cinematic achievements, Dharmendra was also a successful businessman, with an estimated net worth ranging from Rs 335 crore to Rs 450 crore, reflecting a life of diverse accomplishments.

Dharmendra’s family, including his wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and his six children – Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol – survive him. He was also a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren, maintaining strong and affectionate relationships with all his family members throughout his life.

Demonstrating his lifelong passion, Dharmendra remained actively involved in filmmaking until his later years. His last film role was in the 2024 hit ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,’ where he played Shahid Kapoor’s grandfather. Fans anticipate the upcoming release of ‘Ikkis,’ directed by Sriram Raghavan, which will offer a final showcase of his celebrated acting talents.

Dharmendra’s extensive filmography includes iconic performances in classics such as ‘Sholay,’ ‘Chupke Chupke,’ ‘Dharam Veer,’ ‘Satyakam,’ ‘Jugnu,’ ‘Loafer,’ and ‘Seeta Aur Geeta.’ His magnetic personality, versatile acting, and commanding presence rightfully earned him the title of Bollywood’s “He-Man.”

In the business realm, Dharmendra proved to be a shrewd investor. His wealth was built on a foundation of real estate, entrepreneurial ventures in hospitality, film production, and other strategic investments. His sprawling 100-acre Lonavala farmhouse, a testament to his love for nature and potentially a future luxury resort, was a significant asset. He also owned a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across Maharashtra, along with agricultural land, and possessed a notable collection of both luxury and classic automobiles.

His entrepreneurial spirit also led to the creation of popular themed restaurants like ‘Garam Dharam Dhaba’ and ‘He-Man,’ which became destinations for fans celebrating his cinematic legacy. Furthermore, he contributed to film production with ventures like the ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ series. Dharmendra’s journey, from his early days in the industry to becoming a prosperous businessman and an enduring film star, is a compelling success story. As the nation remembers this legendary figure, his impact extends beyond his acting, encompassing his business acumen, his humble nature, and the profound importance he placed on family. His memory will continue to inspire, resonating deeply with generations of fans.
