The city of Ranchi paid homage to the iconic nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as ‘Punjab Kesari’, on the occasion of his 97th death anniversary. The Punjabi Hindu Biradari organized a special tribute ceremony at Lala Lajpat Rai Chowk, located on Mahatma Gandhi Marg. Members of the community gathered to pay their respects, laying garlands and offering flowers at the statue of the revered leader. Arun Chawla spoke about the profound influence of Lala Lajpat Rai’s life, his patriotism, and his sacrifice, inspiring those present. He administered an oath to the attendees, encouraging them to follow the ideals he stood for. The atmosphere was charged with patriotic fervor as chants of ‘Lala Lajpat Rai Amar Rahein’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were raised. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed members of the Biradari, including President Sudhir Uggal, Rajesh Mehra, Mukul Taneja, Rajesh Khanna, Arun Chawla, Ravi Parashar, Rahul Seth, and Harjit Jaggi, who collectively honored the memory of Lala Lajpat Rai.
