Heightened alerts have led Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against prominent Khalistani figure Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of Sikhs for Justice. The charges stem from his online threats to unleash mayhem in Delhi coinciding with January 26 Republic Day events.

The Special Cell applied BNS clauses 196 (criminal conspiracy), 197 (sovereignty threats), 152, and 61, reflecting the serious implications for national stability. Pannun’s viral video asserted that his operatives had deployed sleeper cells to deface Delhi sites with Khalistani materials in Rohini and Dabri.

Ground searches proved these claims baseless—no posters were discovered. Investigators are delving deeper into the video’s origins and potential larger conspiracies involving SFJ sympathizers.

With Republic Day approaching, Delhi’s security apparatus is on high alert, incorporating advanced surveillance and rapid response units to thwart any disruptions.

Compounding concerns, a brazen assault unfolded at the Indian Embassy in Croatia. On January 22, activists stormed the compound, desecrated the Tricolour, and erected a Khalistan flag, footage of which Pannun gleefully disseminated.

The MEA condemned the act unequivocally, urging Croatian authorities to prosecute the culprits. This follows a spate of similar aggressions against Indian missions, expanding from North America and Europe to new territories.

The timing, mere days from the India-EU Summit, suggests calculated provocation. India’s diplomatic corps is mobilizing to expose and isolate these elements on the world stage.

Pannun’s rhetoric, though inflammatory, faces a united front from Indian security forces. This FIR exemplifies proactive measures to preserve peace and national pride during landmark celebrations.
