Revised CGHS Package Rates to be Implemented from October 13

The Central Government has announced a revision of rates under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), with the updated rates scheduled to be implemented from October 13, 2025. This revision impacts approximately 2000 medical procedures and considers the entitlement of wards, accreditation status, the type of healthcare facility, and the city in which it is located. The CGHS is a government program providing subsidized medical benefits to citizens, encompassing diagnostic tests, consultations, surgeries, and hospitalization. The CGHS package covers a wide range of components, including accommodation, medications, surgical supplies, doctor’s fees, and charges for services like ICU/ICCU, physiotherapy, and essential investigations.
