Rishab Shetty’s journey as a director in South Indian cinema has been marked by consistent success. Shetty’s first directorial venture, ‘Ricky,’ was released in 2016. While not a blockbuster, it recovered its production costs. He followed this with ‘Kirik Party,’ which became a major hit. Shetty then directed ‘Rammanna Rai,’ a children’s film, receiving a National Award. ‘Kantara,’ released in 2022, gained international recognition and became a significant box-office success. With a relatively small budget, the film earned a massive amount. Shetty is now working on the second part of ‘Kantara’. The performance of the second part is anticipated to be strong.
