At the RJD’s silver jubilee event, a new slogan was launched targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party meeting also focused on solidifying its position within the Grand Alliance for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, with the goal of installing Tejashwi Yadav as Chief Minister. Lalu Prasad Yadav addressed the gathering, urging party members to serve the poor and promising party nominations to those who are committed. He also stressed the importance of unity to counter the RSS and Nitish Kumar. Rabri Devi, the former Chief Minister, criticized the current state government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She emphasized the need to strengthen the party by including all communities. Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition, highlighted the growing sentiment for change after Nitish Kumar’s long-standing governance. He criticized Kumar’s priorities, particularly his absence from NITI Aayog meetings. He also criticized the two Deputy Chief Ministers, questioning their accomplishments and accusing them of a focus on personal attacks. The newly appointed state president, Mangali Lal Mandal, spoke on the challenges ahead, emphasizing the need for unity and hard work.
