The new printing system came into effect from October 3. 19,000 vehicles are being registered daily. Registration cards are being downloaded only once.
Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: The work of printing permanent driving licenses and vehicle registration cards issued by the Smart Chip Company from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and District Transport Office (DTO) was stopped on September 30. From October 3, the Transport Department had started a new system of keeping and printing the PDF of the Permanent Driving License made through the Sarathi Transport Portal of the National Information Center (NIC).
Cards are being downloaded once
Along with this, the system of taking PDF and print of vehicle registration cards made through Vahan-Char portal was also started. Now this new system of registration and license has started causing problems for the applicants. Vehicle registration cards are being downloaded only once and cannot be downloaded a second time, whereas under the new system they can be downloaded more than once.
In such a situation, if the print of the registration card removed from the mobile gets deleted or gets lost, then the registration card will not be downloaded again. At the same time, the date of birth is being printed twice from the same place on the driving license. Due to this, the date of birth printed on the card is not clearly visible.
The problem will increase during the festive season
Right now the festive season is going on. Hundreds of two and four wheelers have been sold across the state including Navratri and Dussehra Rajdhani. Hundreds more vehicles will be sold till Diwali. If the problem continues like this, then many vehicle showroom employees and vehicle owners will not be able to download the vehicle registration cards due to non-receipt of OTP. In such a situation, the number of padding applications will increase.
Here, even the cards for the applications pending with the Smartchip Company have not yet been received by the vehicle owners. At the same time, after the completion of the driving license process, those applicants whose date of birth is changing from two to six, will face problems during police checking in future.

Every day 19 thousand vehicles are registered across the state. Up to 50 thousand vehicles are registered during festive seasons like Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali. Around 11,000 driving licenses are issued in a day across the state.
