Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar strongly criticized Iran’s continued pursuit of nuclear weapons. He pointed out that, notwithstanding joint endeavors by Israel and the United States to thwart Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Tehran persists in seeking a nuclear arsenal. Consequently, Sa’ar announced that the E3’s actions to initiate the reinstatement of UN sanctions on Iran were unavoidable. The E3 consists of France, Germany, and Italy.

Sa’ar communicated via X that this move is crucial in addressing the Iranian regime’s nuclear aims. He added that, despite the joint Israeli and US operation targeting Iran’s nuclear program, Iran has not abandoned its pursuit of nuclear weaponry, thus making the E3’s move to re-impose UN sanctions necessary. He concluded that it is a significant part of the diplomatic strategy to counter Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
